Planning and Zoning will convey the community's progressive vision, promote quality of life and manage the city's growth by incorporating comprehensive planning with sound development practices.

The Planning and Development Services Department is located at 1330 College Street. Here you will find everything you need to know about commercial and residential building codes and permitting, zoning issues, and land development. The City of Newberry’s Planning Commission, Construction Board of Appeals and Zoning Board of Appeals also operate through the department. The City of Newberry’s Property Maintenance office is located in the department.
